Solutions Portfolio Manager – EIT Manufacturing
Full-time position based in any European office of EIT Manufacturing with a mix between remote work and access to shared working space
About the position:
Since 2020, EIT Manufacturing has supported numerous pan-European consortia in developing forward-looking technologies that shape the future of manufacturing. Over the next five years, this portfolio is set to expand, supported by agreements that ensure a portion of revenue generated by these solutions is shared with EIT Manufacturing, contributing to its long-term financial sustainability. The Solutions Portfolio Manager will play a pivotal role in managing these innovative solutions, ensuring holistic support to drive innovations toward commercialisation and market success. This includes actively engaging with solution owners to maximize the impact of their innovations, coordinating commercialization support, and driving visibility across both internal and external platforms to enhance market uptake. By facilitating these activities, the Solutions Portfolio Manager will contribute directly to EIT Manufacturing’s mission of advancing manufacturing across Europe and globally.
Missions and key Accountabilities:
The Solutions Portfolio Manager will contribute to:
- Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date repository of solution owners and their respective innovation (in development or market-ready) within EIT Manufacturing’s portfolio. In this regard, regular engagement with solution owners is expected to track progress and identify support needs.
- Manage and curate the content to be featured in the Results Platform—a digital catalogue currently under development, designed to showcase innovative solutions and connect them with potential customers and partners. The Solutions Portfolio Manager will ensure that key results are effectively highlighted to maximize visibility and impact.
- Act as the liaison between solution owners, the Call Program Management (CPM) team —which supports consortia throughout project implementation, including monitoring and reporting — and regional teams to streamline the support provided. This involves consolidating needs from solution owners and aligning available support to maximize commercialization outcomes.
- Ensure full visibility of the solutions portfolio by facilitating internal awareness among key stakeholders who can support commercialization efforts. Externally, promote the Results Platform and its content, collaborating with the Marketing and Sales Team to ensure compelling storytelling and effective presentation of the solutions to effectively showcase solutions.
- Monitor the long-term impact of solutions, collecting relevant data to demonstrate their value. Coordinate with the Business Controller to track revenue generated, aligning this information with financial sustainability objectives.
Qualifications and experience:
- You hold a university degree or equivalent in Business or Engineering Sciences.
- You have a minimum of 4 years of experience in product portfolio management, with a proven expertise in understanding commercialisation needs and marketing strategies for innovative solutions. Ideally, your experience is in manufacturing or other innovation-driven sectors.
- Knowledge of the European and international innovation ecosystems and stakeholders
- Willingness and ability to think creatively and propose new ideas to improve the effectiveness and the efficiency of your role.
- Experience of EU/national funding mechanisms is considered a plus.
Skills:
- A strong team player with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and operational processes of an evolving organisation in an international environment
- Inspirational entrepreneurship skills and business mindset, to build solution owners engagement.
- Outstanding communication skills verbally and in writing. Excellent command of the English language is mandatory. Additional European languages a plus.
- Creative strategic thinker who can both shape projects, drive delivery and personally execute.
- Self-starter, ability to use initiative, good work ethic with a can-do attitude. Independent and trustworthy.
- Very organized, proactive, service-oriented, capable of multi-tasking.
- Track record of building collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work tight deadlines and under pressure across multiple projects.
- Expert user of software tools such as Office tool suite, especially Power Point and Excel.

Location:
The role location can be located close to any European office in France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Germany with a mix between remote working and access to EIT Manufacturing working space.
