EU Projects and Strategic Initiatives Officer – EIT Manufacturing
Full-time position at the EIT Manufacturing Headquarter in Paris (Remote work possible)
About the position:
The selected applicant will be responsible for successfully implementing projects funded by Horizon Europe, other European funding schemes that EIT Manufacturing participates and supporting in additional projects under the RIS pillar. The EU Projects and Strategic Initiatives Officer will be responsible for scouting of European funding opportunities and coordination of grant applications.
Missions and key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the coordination, implementation, and project management of European-funded projects.
- Create and manage collaborative consortia definition for new proposals.
- Lead activities for accessing EU/national/local public funding sources
- Contribute actively to the development and implementation of Strategic Initiatives related to Manufacturing sector.
- Participate in the development and implementation of our strategic priorities linked to EU Affairs activities.
- Take appropriate actions and measures to achieve the objectives and targets (e.g. KPIs) of the implementes projects.
- Prepare all projects documentation (deliverables, handbooks, tutorials, performance and cost reporting, KPIs, etc).
- Organize workshops, meetings, and dissemination events linked to the scope of the projects.
- Work closely with the EIT Manufacturing’s Head of EU Projects & Strategic Initiatives and EU Projects and Strategic Initiatives Officers/Managers, with partners and/or external stakeholders and outline strategies to exploit the results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor/master’s degree - preferably in Engineering Science. University degree in relevant discipline and/or equivalent professional experience/qualifications. PhD in Engineering would be a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience on managing publicly European & National funded projects and proposals preparation.
- Previous experience in manufacturing technologies is a plus.
- Excellent English language proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
Skills and expertise:
- Proven track record in project management.
- Experience in European funded programmes, EU Affairs and Strategic Initiatives.
- Experience in relevant fields such as ecosystem creation, acceleration programmes, entrepreneurship, engagement of individuals for innovation, incubation, business creation, start-up training, marketing, etc., will be positively evaluated.
- Experience in technical and financial evaluation and monitoring will be positively evaluated.
- Process-oriented with attention to detail and the ability to best combine analytical thinking with creativity
- A team player who understands the importance of teamwork in an international environment.
- Experience in dealing with representatives at all levels in academia, industry, research.
- Willingness to travel regularly to locations across Europe.
- Organized, proactive, service-oriented, capable of multitasking.
- Independent and trustworthy.

Location:
While the EIT Manufacturing Headquarters is located in Paris, remote work can be considered from Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Portugal or Spain based on the profile of the successful candidate. In such a case, business travel should be expected for in-person meeting participation on a regular basis.
